The next Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival takes place in just a few days time at the Iowa State Fair Grounds.
By the sounds of things if you don't already have a ticket then you're out of luck as it's already sold out!

There'll be loads of restaurants cooking up their finest Bacony goodness so make sure you get down there and check it out!

If you don't know what KickStarter is basically it's a crowd sourcing site for people to get funding for their projects. In this case it's a guy who wants to get his kit of a home Bacon making kit started.
Depending on how much you're willing to fund will depend on what you'll get once the project comes to fruition If he doesn't raise all the money he needs then you don't pay a cent.

Basically it involves crushing some very crispy Bacon and mixing it with salt - a little more to it than that I think, but that's the just of it.
