We was calling to complain? Or press charges against...his girlfriend and her cat...

This pretty much cover all stereotypes - Walmart, Alabama, Redneck....'Murca!

Vark Klub - Stokers
Yes another successful Vark Klub last night at Stokers Arms in Kloof. Eisbein all round and a lot of drinks.
Apparently Stokers Arms in Kloof is under new management. I haven't been there in a while, but it looks like it is gaining in popularity amongst the younger crowds. The place was nearly packed with loads of people eating, drinking and making merry.
We didn't try much on the menu apart from the cheesy garlic roll, the jalepeno poppers (awesome) and the Eisbein.
10 Eisbeins and not much waiting for them either. All huge and very tasty, along with the usual chips, mash and veg. All very good.
Check it out (once their website is working again).

Seaweed that tastes like Bacon
Apparently Oreagon University have discovered a seaweed that tastes just like Bacon.
I can't say I'm convinced of this just yet. I'll reserve my judgment until it becomes mainstream.
Check out the full story here.

Bacon Festival SA Trolls
It seems some trolls have registered the url http://baconfestival.co.za/
The site poses as the home of the Cape Town Bacon Festival, when in reality it is an anti-Pork site.
Loads of images about the atrocities of Pig farming.
I agree, some of this stuff should be seen. We need to be aware that Pigs, and all meat, is not grown in a lovely field. The animal farming methods in this country do have a lot to be desired. But then again, if you know where your Pork comes from, and you know your Pork distributor, and abattoir, and are happy with the way things are done.
Then I have no problem!
And I know my local Pork farmer, distributor and abattoir. And I am happy with their methods.
So go check out Georgies Pork - they use ethical methods!
