Standard American Breakfast?

So I found this picture on the interwebs with the caption : Standard American Breakfast.
I can see how that is funny. Americans are known to be overweight  hence the enormous plate of Bacon. And Americans like their guns, hence the gun sitting at the table.
Now when I was over in the USA back in 2001 I don't remember ever having a breakfast like that.
So please tell me - is this the norm now?

Bacon Breakfast

Wrap Bacon on the inside of a muffin tray.
Mix up some eggs and cheese.
Fill to about 3/4 of the way up.
Cook in the oven - not sure how long though!
Enjoy an easy breakfast!

A Bacon gun

So Tweeds sent this to me...not sure what it's about. A Bacon gun was the title of the image.
Well it is a lot of Bacon, eggs, toast, coffee and a gun.
Is this a Russian breakfast?

Not entirely sure what to make of it!

Bacon Breakfast Cone

Another idea from J&D's - The Bacon Breakfast Cone!
Basically it's a cone of Bacon wrapped around scrambled eggs and closed with a biscuit. This is where I get a little confused. A biscuit here is a sweet baked good. There I think its more like a small scone or doughy bread thing. Who knows...I'll still eat it!

The Foodie's Favourite Breakfast Places

I follow The Foodie on Twitter and he recently posted and article to his website about his favourite breakfast places in Cape Town. It got me thinking...what are my favourite breakfast places around Durban. The only place I could think of was going to the Shongweni Market for a Saturday morning breakfast - the omelette is great, but I hear the falafel is really fantastic.
