Google Launches the Bacon Number

So Apple launched the iPhone 5 which seemed to be a little underwhelming. Haven't heard too much hype in the media in the last day or so - not like the previous versions.
In reply, I think is a far better achievement, Google have launched the Bacon Number search - see below...

Gizmodo pointed out that Google now will tell you what any actors Bacon Number is!
How awesome is that?
You know the Bacon Number - 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.
So go to Google and put in Bacon Number actor name.

Bacon Breakfast

Wrap Bacon on the inside of a muffin tray.
Mix up some eggs and cheese.
Fill to about 3/4 of the way up.
Cook in the oven - not sure how long though!
Enjoy an easy breakfast!

The Foodie gets bakery!

I'm not sure how I missed this as I get all the updates to TheFoodie's website, but thankfully Cheese pointed this out to me and it's certainly a place I'd like to visit the next time I'm in Cape Town.

From this post on this blog it says he's acquired the Jason Bakery and has renamed it David Bakery - I suspect some Tom Foolery here as it also sounds like he's just looking after the bakery for his mate while he's on holiday in Spain.
But I think I'd prefer for the Foodie to stay the owner if what he says is true -
"We’ve also streamlined the menu: every croissant comes with bacon in it! Actually, EVERYTHING comes with bacon! Even coffee comes with a piece of streaky bacon instead of a biscuit."

That does sound great doesn't it! EVERYTHING COMES WITH BACON!
So if you're in Cape Town - get there!

This particular water cooler offers Snow flavoured water or Bacon flavoured water - now I've had the Bacon flavoured from the effervescent tablets and to say it wasn't nice is an understatement...so not quite sure about this one!

AllThingsBacon Domain Name Poll

I think we've been sitting on the Blogger domain for a little too long now and it's time AllThingsBacon stood on its own feet.
I've thought about it and so far only come up with two reasonable names that are available (don't be a douche and go register them now just to steal them from me!), so please vote on the right hand side there.
Otherwise if you have some other ideas for a domain name for the site - in fact a total rebranding is in order, please post a comment below with your domain name idea.

I'll add the new domain ideas to the poll on the right and leave the voting open for a few weeks.

I must admit I am quite partial to the picture below, so if that could somehow be worked into a logo I'd love it!

Here Piggy Piggy BBQ

So Spoem and I were having a bit of banter about various bacon related sites and possible names for a domain (more on that later) and he stumbles upon a link to www.rubmybutt.com - who's tag line is "Here Piggy Piggy BBQ" - at least I hope thats what he was searching for and not "rub my butt".

Anyway...they deserve a mention just for the beauty of their website! Loving the sizzling noise as they flip their Pork steaks!
